The Chronicle of Panyad is a mythological tale about a queen who sacrifices herself for her children and the kingdom, dating back to the 7th century in mainland Southeast Asia. The show was directed by Mr. Chetsadakon Iamurai, the head of Thai Drama and Dance at Jantaburi College of Dramatic Art, in a style that combines traditional Thai dance drama and musical elements. As a composer, this was an opportunity to reconsider the sound of the score in the context of Southeast Asia, incorporating Gamelan from Indonesia, Bansuri and Venu accompanied by tabla, and Thai musical instruments.
